What is a NOC and do I need one?

Updated April 2026

A No Objection Certificate (NOC) is a written declaration from a prior aggregator, channel manager, or listing agent confirming that your hotel is free from any exclusivity or lock-in agreement.

You need a NOC if:

  • Your hotel was previously listed through another service provider
  • You had a channel manager managing your OTA listings
  • You signed an exclusivity agreement with any aggregator

You don't need a NOC if:

  • This is your first time listing on OTAs
  • You registered directly on OTAs yourself
  • Your previous agreement has expired

If you're unsure, our team can help you determine whether a NOC is needed.
